Abstract: Tree crop diseases pose severe implication on food production in Nigeria despite the continuous population growth. Hence, the contribution of this study is to examine the impact of tree crop diseases on food production in Nigeria. The study adopted survey research approach and primary data were collected using questionnaires designed and administered by the researchers to hundred farmers. The Cost Benefit Analysis theory was used in the study to drive home the message. The result shows that tree crop diseases have drastically reduced the quantity and quality of food produced. Hence, the study recommended that Nigerian government should urgently provide the necessary insecticide that will help farmers in Nigeria tackle the urgent problem.
