Abstract: The research investigated users’ access to health information for sustainable development &#xD;
during the Covid 19 era in Professor Kenneth Dike E-central Library, Awka, Anambra state. &#xD;
A descriptive survey research design was used for the study. The sample population &#xD;
comprised of 100 users of Professor Kenneth Dike E-central Library through the use of &#xD;
accidental sampling technique. A structured questionnaire was used for collection of data. &#xD;
The instrument was subjected to face validation and pilot test using Cronbach Alpha which &#xD;
gave a reliability coefficient value of 0.97. Data collected from the study were analyzed using &#xD;
mean scores. The study found that health information sought for by the users of Professor &#xD;
Kenneth Dike E-central Library during the Covid 19 pandemic in Anambra state are &#xD;
Information on risks of the Covid 19, Covid 19 drug information, and information on the risk &#xD;
for being infected with Covid 19. All the items on health information literacies such as &#xD;
communicative skills on sharing health information, critical evaluation skills to determine the &#xD;
authenticity of health information, and basic health information searching skills, etc were not &#xD;
provided for the users in Anambra state. The extent of user accessibility of the health &#xD;
information literacies during Covid 19 era in Anambra state was high on Covid 19 test &#xD;
centers, Covid 19 virus signs and symptoms, and information on the risk for being infected &#xD;
with the Covid 19. Users’ access to health information literacy has led to sustainable &#xD;
development during Covid 19 era in Anambra state by means of restricting the users’ &#xD;
physical social interaction in their environment, enabled them to acquire online skills for their &#xD;
education, and do more of online transaction. The challenges of user access to health &#xD;
information literacy for sustainable development during Covid 19 era are inadequate funding, &#xD;
insufficiency of e-learning infrastructure, and poor librarians’ attitude. The study concluded &#xD;
that the Covid 19 era has exposed the deficiencies of public library in their task of providing &#xD;
health information literacy to the library for sustainable development during Covid 19 era. &#xD;
The recommendations were that there should be adequate funding for the library to train &#xD;
librarians on new ways of providing health information literacy to users

    <summary type="text">Title: Digital Literacy and Job Performance of 21st Century Library Staff in Imo State

Abstract: The research examined digital literacy and job performance of 21stcentury library staff in Imo State. Five research questions guided the study. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised all library staff in university librariesin Imo State. Sample of the study comprised 40 library staff drawn from Imo State University and Federal University of Technology Owerri using random sampling technique. Questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. Data collected was analyzed using simple percentages and frequency counts. The study found that digital literacy possessed by the 21stcentury library staff that can enhance job performance are electronic mailing, mobile phone usage, PDAs, Internet surfing, computer operations, social networking among others. The study also found that library staff acquire digital literacy skills through trial and error, support from colleague, self-study using user guide, training offered by management, formal education, attending seminars and workshop, and IT programmes. Digital literacy has improved job performance of the 21stcentury library staff through increased speedy purchase of online information resources, establishment and maintenance of online catalogue database, improved virtual reference services, and enhanced Internet search activities for users. Constraints to the acquisition of digital literacy by 21stcentury library staff in their job performance include poor attitude of staff in updating themselves with digital literacy skills, lack of interest by the library management by not sending their library staff to upgrade their digital skills, limited opportunities offered for training opportunities, poor ICT infrastructure, technophobia, and so on. The study recommended that library staff should be sensitized and provided training on digital literacy so as to improve their job output. Furthermore, government should provide academic libraries with sufficient funds for ICT infrastructure and training facilities for their staff.</summary>

Abstract: ABSTRACT&#xD;
Law libraries need to be strategically expedient in the provision of peaceful environment for conflict &#xD;
resolutions, considering the imperative of peace in the global world today. Therefore, this paper identified &#xD;
various causes of conflicts and discussed succinctly the roles of law libraries in facilitating effective &#xD;
information delivery in conflict resolutions. The paper also, discussed the impact of law libraries in helping &#xD;
lawyers, judges or court, law students and other individuals to acquire skills in settlement of disputes for &#xD;
effective administration of justice. Challenges and solutions on the roles of law libraries in providing &#xD;
information services for conflict resolution were presented. However, recommendations were given, if well &#xD;
taken will promote effective and efficient information resources delivery for promotion of peace and social &#xD;
cohesion.</summary>

Abstract: This study discusses the concept of collection the element in libraries. Various factors have to be taken into consideration while developing a quantitative collection for the benefits of the users. These factors include policies, principles, techniques and procedures, problems associated with collection/development and weeding out as well. It is equally important to evaluate the collection to assess its use and moreover the usefulness of collection development in electronic environment. On this note, The research discussed extensively on the Automated Collection Development. Also the ordering of Electronic Resources Major types of Internet purchase. The researcher conclude that, library professionals need to take most utmost care in developing a balanced collection which enhances the quality of the library. The study is attempted on the basis of experience.</summary>
