dc.description.abstractThis study sought to find out factors which militate against school library development in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. The research design was a survey. Six research questions guided the study.The accessible population comprised five secondary schools and five primary schools in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. Data was collected through questionnaire. The responses were summed and their frequency and percentage obtained. The percentages were used to answer the research questions. Findings of the study showed that factors which hinder school library development include among other things paucity of funds, poor facilities, management by unqualified personnel. All these have a direct bearing on the teaching and learning in Aguata local government area. Recommendations were however made in this regard.en_US
